Editing on the canvas

Repeated paste: each paste of the same copy lands one step further down and to the right, within your candle and layer limits.
Paste across tabs: drawings copied in one tab paste in another tab of the same account on this device.
Keyboard zoom: Ctrl or Cmd with plus or minus zooms the chart around its middle, and with 0 sets 100%, instead of zooming the page.
Text editing from the keyboard: Enter or F2 edits a selected text, and F2 a selected callout's text.
Element menu from the keyboard: Shift+F10 or the menu key opens the menu of the selected drawing.
Show on chart button on each Layers row: moves the view so the layer is in the middle of the chart.
Trim candles under Select on the tool rail: paid accounts with a saved toolbar now find Trim candles in the Select menu.
Select all drawings: Ctrl+A (Cmd+A on a Mac) selects every drawing on the canvas; candles and hidden drawings stay out.
Group from the keyboard: Ctrl+G (Cmd+G on a Mac) groups the selection, and Ctrl+Shift+G (Cmd+Shift+G) ungroups it.
Align and Distribute by group in Properties for several drawings: a group moves as one block, so its drawings keep their places.
Pan with Space: hold Space and drag to pan the chart with any tool, then let go to go on drawing.
Copy by Alt-drag shows the original: while Alt (Option on a Mac) is held during a drag, a faded copy stays where the drag started.

Drawing tools

Arrow end markers: Start marker and End marker in Properties for Arrow draw none, an arrow, a circle or a diamond at each end.
Line text along the line: drag a selected trend line's or arrow's text to any spot on it; it snaps to either end and the middle.
Points stay on their candles: a point the magnet puts on a candle's open, high, low or close follows that candle when it is edited.
Parallel channel fill color: a Channel fill section in Properties for Parallel channel sets the fill color apart from the line color.

Data

Import a CandleDraw document in the Data tab: opens a JSON file saved with JSON export, if it fits your plan's limits and tools.
Single day or range for market data: a Single day and Range switch in the Data tab's Market data section. Single day, the default, loads one day.

User guide

Single candlestick picture in the drawing guide: a rising and a falling candle, with the open, high, low and close of each labeled.

Performance

Faster charts with many drawings: drawings far outside the view are no longer drawn while you pan and zoom.
Performance and stability improvements.

Fixes

Locked drawings in a move: a drawing with Lock on no longer moves with the arrow keys or when it is dragged with other drawings.
Drag after switching windows: a drawing dragged while you switch to another window or tab goes back to where it was.
Trim candles count on the Apply button of the Trim candles range: counts and removes the candles at the timeframe on screen, such as 12 H4 candles.
Parallel channel extended ends: an extended end runs past the canvas edge and ends square, both lines at the same time, at the start and the end.
Section lines in Properties: a line divides Candle settings from the selected tool's settings, also while Candle settings is collapsed.
Top bar on the public pages: page text no longer shows above the bar in in-app browsers, and the theme button is the size of Sign in and Sign up.

Market data

Market data in the profile menu's Data tab: load real forex candles by pair and date range; the calendar crosses out days without data.
Real lower timeframes for market data: at M30 to M1 the timeframe strip shows the real candles, with a loading sign while they download.
Market day from 17:00 New York: market data dates, daybreak lines and H4, D1 and W1 views follow the forex day; times stay in UTC.

Canvas and tool rail

Canvas right-click menu in groups: view, studies, Canvas settings and Tool settings each have a group of their own, with Clear canvas last.
Continuous drawing key: Shift+C turns Continuous drawing on or off, as the button under the magnet on the tool rail does.
Tool rail order and Hide: drag a tool button up or down the tool rail; right-click a tool on the rail, or in a tool menu, to hide it.
One drop line for every list: Layers, Projects, the Menu's Tools section and the Education Hub's section links reorder alike; section links now drag.
Tool order inside a group: in the Menu's Tools section, drag or move a tool within its group, such as Ray under Line; the rail's tool menus follow.

Drawing tools

Anchored VWAP bands and price source: ±1, ±2 and ±3 σ bands with a fill, and a choice of price, in Properties for Anchored VWAP.
Fill color for shapes: rectangles, ellipses and triangles get a Fill color in Properties apart from the line color.
Text alignment and background box: in Properties for Text, align left, center or right, and put the text on an optional box.
Fibonacci level spacing and prices: in Properties for Fibonacci, linear or logarithmic levels, and Show prices on layers with imported or market data.

Studies

4-shade MACD histogram: bars shade by their side of zero and by whether they grow or shrink against the bar before.
Line style per study line: in a study's Properties, each line is solid, dashed or dotted, and each can be hidden.
More candle patterns: Candle pattern detection adds 12 patterns, such as Hanging man, the harami pair and Three white soldiers.
Zig Zag study: a line over the candles that joins the swings which turn by at least a set percent.

User guide

Guide search loading sign: the guide search shows a spinner and says so while its index loads.

Fixes

Beta label on the selected Data tab: in the Menu dialog's section list, Beta and the admin lock take the selected tab's text color and stay readable.
Getting started and shortcut text: the walkthrough and the Fit to screen row describe Escape, Continuous drawing, zoom and pan as they work now.
Candle drawing on the home page and the Product tour: the drag sets the close and pulls out the wicks, as on the canvas; a click draws a body.
Risk/Reward ratio in price: the label and the Risk : Reward field in Properties read prices on a log scale, rounded to one decimal.
Risk/Reward Win/Loss inside the box: the Show Win/Loss visual shading in Properties counts only candles within the box's width.
New Risk/Reward keeps the last ratio: a new box takes the last one's ratio in price, also after it is fitted to the view or on a log scale.
Harmonic pattern ratios in price: ABCD and XABCD read prices on a log scale; Gartley and Butterfly use the standard ratio ranges.
Gann fan ratio labels: the rays read price by time, so the steep ray is 8x1.

Measure relative move: with Relative move on in Properties, a layer with prices shows the signed percent change from Measure's first point.

Bar counts: Measure, the info line and the regression channel count candles 0 to 5 as 5 bars.
Parallel channel second line: moves straight up or down, so both lines start and end at the same times.
Pitchfork median with extend off: ends level with the outer lines.
Fibonacci extension Invert levels: keeps the levels on the projection side instead of mirroring them about C.
New Fibonacci extension levels: a new trend-based extension starts with levels up to 261.8 instead of the retracement levels.
Checklist items in Properties: removing an item keeps the typing and focus in the row you were editing.
Long study names in the Studies dialog: a name such as Accumulation / Distribution wraps beside its favorite star instead of dropping under it.
MACD from its standard start: the MACD line, signal and histogram begin once their averages are complete, as the standard MACD does.
RSI on a flat stretch: on candles that never move, RSI reads 50, not 100.
Volume Profile value area and POC: the value area grows two rows at a time, and a tied POC takes the row nearest the middle.
Bollinger %B and Bandwidth basis: a Basis method setting in Properties, as Bollinger Bands has, instead of always a simple average.

Drawing and editing

Select, then drag: a candle or a drawing moves only once it is selected; a press and drag on one that is not selected pans the chart.
Click, move, click draws two-point tools such as Line, Rectangle and Fibonacci with a mouse; dragging still works.
Escape in steps on the canvas: Escape first cancels the drag, the move or the last polyline point; a second Escape returns to Select.
Alt+drag copies a drawing: drop a selected drawing with Alt held to leave a copy there; the original stays.
Shift keeps angles at 45 degrees while drawing or dragging a point; Shift while moving a drawing keeps it on one axis.
Magnet modes (Pro and Educator): Off, Weak or Strong, which snaps at any distance. Right-click the magnet button in the tool rail to choose.
Crosshair on the magnet's point: with a drawing tool armed and the magnet on, the crosshair lines show where a click places the point.
Continuous drawing button under the magnet in the tool rail: on, a tool stays selected after each drawing; off, the canvas goes back to Select.
New tool keys: S for Select, V for Vertical line, J for Callout.
Keys in the tool rail menus: each tool in a tool menu shows its key at the right.
H and V place a line at the pointer when it is over the chart: a Horizontal or Vertical line, and the tool returns to Select.
Handle on Vertical and Horizontal lines: drag it to move the line and slide the handle along it; Shift+drag on the line does the same.
Text on lines and arrows: Text in Properties for Line, Ray, Arrow, Vertical and Horizontal line, with color, size, style and position.
Risk/Reward level guide: dragging a stop or target draws a dotted line across the chart in that box color, with its price on the ruler.
Parallel channel fill at 10%: new channels and Reset start with a light fill, so the candles inside stay easy to read.
Show text on trade markers: a checkbox in Properties hides the text beside a marker; it is on by default.
One recent color in the preset row: the last color you picked sits after the preset swatches, in place of the row of recent colors under each field.
Next drawing settings in Properties: pick a drawing tool to set its look before you draw; with chart customization it also sets your default.
Layers list in drawing order: the top row is in front on the canvas; moving a row changes what covers what.
More rows in the element menu (right-click a drawing): Duplicate, Copy, Lock, Hide, Bring to front, Send to back, Show at and Set as default.
Show at as one row in the element menu (right-click a drawing): the four timeframe ranges open from it.
Projection tool removed: it is no longer in the tool rail; projections in saved drawings are left out when the drawing opens.

Candles

Movable candle controls after Convert to Candles: the sliders open above the converted candles and stay put while used; drag them by the grip.
Candle variation after Convert to Candles: a new slider varies each candle's size and wicks inside its leg; the former one is now Inner structure.
Candle size resets: Clear canvas and Convert to Candles put the candle width back to its default; Apply in Trim candles does so for the height.
Trim candles under Select in the tool rail (Pro and Educator): drag a range, adjust its edges, then Apply to keep only the active layer's candles inside it.
Trim candles hint: a click without a drag shows, at the top of the window, how to choose the range.
No gap candles chart type: each candle opens at the previous close, so gaps between candles close; the stored candles stay as they are.
Data timeframe set by the data in Candle settings: CSV files with evenly spaced times keep their timeframe; the strip still switches.
A question before the canvas is replaced: CSV import, Clear canvas, opening a project or an assignment ask first and name what goes.

Reading the chart

Mouse wheel setting in the profile menu's Tools tab: Zoom, the default, changes the candle width around the pointer; Pan moves the chart.
Wheel over the edge rulers changes the candle width (bottom ruler) or height (right ruler) around the pointer.
Split view scrolls like the main chart: the wheel over the second pane moves both panes; Ctrl+wheel (Cmd on a Mac) zooms that pane.
Momentum on touch panning: a one-finger pan with the Select tool glides on after the finger lifts and slows down; a touch stops it.
Auto scale in the canvas menu: the candle height follows the candles in view as you pan and zoom; a double-click on the right ruler turns it on.
Go to latest in the canvas menu and command palette: the newest candle at the right, with room after it; double-click the bottom ruler for the same.
Fit to screen on the ruler corner button: the button where the edge rulers meet does what Fit to screen in the canvas menu does.
Prices and times on the edge rulers: with imported data, the right ruler shows prices; the bottom ruler, UTC times with the month in view.
UTC on the bottom ruler: with loaded or imported data, the time ruler names its clock at the right end.
Last price tag in the crosshair colors: the last price on the price ruler uses the same dark tag as the crosshair price.
Grid settings in the profile menu's Canvas tab: vertical and horizontal switches, light and dark colors, and rows on round prices by default.
Grid columns on the time labels: with loaded or imported data, each vertical grid line runs through a candle's center and its time on the ruler.
Grid gray per theme: the default grid is a darker gray on light and a lighter one on dark, so it shows equally on both.
Daybreak line: a dotted line in the accent color where each day starts, on H4 and lower; turn it on in the right-click menu or Menu, Canvas.
OHLC readout over candles only: the crosshair shows a candle's open, high, low and close while the pointer is over that candle.
Plus pointer with the OHLC crosshair, closed hand while panning: the chart shows a plus while the crosshair is on, a grabbing hand while dragged.
Smoother large charts: panning and drawing no longer redraw every candle; timeframe view candles that share a pixel draw as one line in the accent color.

Menus and settings

Fewer sections in Menu: the Canvas tab groups Edge rulers, Timeframe strip and OHLC crosshair under Guides; the Settings tab puts Theme and Branding together.
Theme row in the profile menu: the light and dark switch moved there from the top bar.
Education Hub in one profile menu row: Build, Link and Review open from the tabs inside the hub.
Clear canvas on the tool rail: the trash button under Undo and Redo; the canvas right-click menu has a Clear canvas row too.
Larger touch targets for the timeframe strip, the Candle Player controls and the icon buttons on touch screens.

Fixes

Selection box after Convert to Candles: the box around the brush stroke goes when the candles take its place.
Footprint and Anchored VWAP from the Studies menu start from your remembered and pinned settings.
Layer names after a reorder in Layers: a moved row keeps the name it showed.
Vertical and horizontal line names in Layers: they are listed as Vertical line and Horizontal line, not as Line.
Shift in Getting started says 0, 45 or 90 degrees, as Shift now works.
Command key named for your device: tooltips, Editing settings and Getting started say Cmd on a Mac and Ctrl elsewhere.
Mouse wheels that scroll by lines now pan as far as other wheels.
Candle Player settings grip moves the panel 1 px per arrow key, 10 with Shift, as other grips do.

Crosshair price and time tags on their lines: the ruler tags stay on the crosshair lines when the chart moves under a still pointer.
Risk/Reward stop close to the entry: the stop and target edges can be dragged to 10 px from the entry line; the other level stays, the ratio follows.
Price ruler tags apart: the last price and a dragged Risk/Reward level stack on the right ruler when close, so neither covers the other.
Go to latest at a lower timeframe: at M1 it ends at the newest candle, not on empty canvas past it.
Resize cursor on Risk/Reward edge dots: the stop and target dots always show the up-and-down arrows.
OHLC crosshair at another timeframe: the readout shows the candle on screen, not the stored candle it was built from.
Fit to screen uses the full height: the candles in view fill the chart's height; the width stays.
Arrowheads on angled arrows: the head stays square to the line when the candles are stretched wider or taller.
Preset color swatches in Properties: every swatch in the row has the same size.
Account saving after a newer copy fails to open: later edits still save, and the newer copy from your other device is not overwritten.
Height from the right ruler on imported data: a short stretch of imported data can be stretched to fill the chart.
Reset in Menu, Canvas: the Reset buttons and the color arrows can be clicked at their defaults too.
Light and dark mode on the public pages when signed out: the pages follow your device setting from the first moment they show.
Parallel channel fill in Properties: one Channel fill slider, instead of two controls for the same value.
Locked tools in the quick tool menu: a tool your plan does not include is dimmed, with the reason, instead of doing nothing.
Studies button in the tool rail no longer shows the tool menu mark; it opens the Studies dialog.
Fit to screen button where the rulers meet shows a fit icon and names Shift+F.
Undo and Redo in the tool rail have names for screen readers.

Drawing and editing

Recent colors under each color field in Properties: the last eight colors picked, one click to apply.
Set as default (Pro and Educator) in Properties: new drawings and studies of that kind start from the selected one's settings. Clear custom default returns new ones to the built-in settings.
Element menu on a right click on a drawing, a candle, a study's line or anywhere in a study pane (a long press on phones): Properties opens its settings in the Properties panel, briefly dimming the rest of the screen, and Delete removes it. The canvas menu keeps the canvas actions; on phones, a long press on empty canvas opens it.
Delete key for a selected study removes it, as for drawings.
Drawing with the keyboard for every tool you place: with the tool selected, Enter starts one in the middle of the view. The arrow keys set a second point, or a new candle's close, high and low, each confirmed with Enter.
Drag to reorder in Layers: drag a layer or a study to a new place in its list in the Layers panel. The Move up and Move down buttons still do the same.
Projects menu drag and drop: drag a project onto another category to move it there, or within its category to set its place, and drag a category heading to reorder the categories; the Move up and Move down arrows on each row and heading do the same. A locked project can be reordered only.
Escape clears the selection with the Select tool. A right click on empty canvas keeps the selection while the canvas menu opens.
Dragging a drawing selects it when you let go, so Delete, the arrow keys and Properties act on what you moved. The pointer changes over anything Select can pick.
Selection kept through undo and redo, and when switching between the Select and Marquee tools, so a Shift box adds to what you clicked.
Text opens for editing on a double click (double tap on a phone). One click on a text element selects it, to move, nudge or delete it.
Smoother Brush and Highlighter strokes: a stroke is drawn as a rounded curve and keeps only the points that shape it, so long strokes stay light. A wide highlighter can be clicked anywhere across its width.
Smoothing setting for Brush and Highlighter in Properties: 0 (off) to 4, default 2. It changes how round the stroke looks, not its points, so a conversion to candles reads the same path.
Convert to Candles starts at 4x: a new conversion makes four candles a leg; the Amount of candles slider over it still sets 2x to 10x.

Reading the chart

Fit to screen (Shift+F) in the canvas right-click menu zooms out until every visible candle is in view. It never zooms in; when the candles fit already, it only centers them. Shift+F no longer selects Fibonacci.
Hide all studies (Shift+H), in Layers and the right-click menu: hides every study, or shows them all when none is visible. One undo step.
Edge rulers shortcut (Shift+R) on the canvas shows or hides the rulers, the same as the Edge rulers switch in the canvas right-click menu. Shift+R no longer selects Rectangle; R still does.
Watermark switch in the canvas right-click menu (Pro and Educator) turns the watermark off, on the canvas and in exports, and back on as your logo if you uploaded one, else your text.
Canvas right-click menu on Free lists only what the plan can change: the Studies row is left out, since Free includes no study.
Favorite studies: a star on each row of the Studies dialog puts that study in a Favorites group at the top of the list.

Help

User guide: every tool, study and setting, the keyboard shortcuts and how to get around the app. On the canvas, Guide in the profile menu opens it in a dialog over the chart, with Navigation, Tools, Studies, Keyboard shortcuts and Videos as tabs; links in it stay inside the dialog. The public pages at /guide carry the same content, and Guide in the profile menu there opens them in a new tab.
Guide search: a search field at the top of the guide, in the dialog and on every /guide page, finds tools, studies, settings, menu items and keys across all five sections. A result opens its section at that entry.
Guide videos: the Videos tab of the guide, and /guide/videos, show short recordings of one feature each, from drawing and importing candles to studies, notes and projects, with the steps written out underneath. A video starts only when you press play.
Back to top button in the Guide dialog's lower right corner, once you scroll down a section.
Footer columns: the candlestick guides have their own column, to the left of the site links.
Pictures in the candlestick guides: the five written guides show the step each section describes, taken from the app, in the light or dark copy that matches the site's theme.
Getting started walkthrough from the Getting started button in the Guide dialog, moved there from the profile menu. It opens by itself once, the first time an account is on Pro or Educator, since it covers their tools.
First candle hints for new Free accounts: on the first visit to the canvas, a card points at the Draw candle tool while the rest of the screen dims, then a card at the bottom of the canvas walks through drawing three candles and names the Free candle limit. After the third candle the tool rail lights up with the drawing tools ringed. Skip tips on the card ends them.
Keyboard shortcuts (?): the ? key on the canvas opens the guide dialog on its Keyboard shortcuts tab, a list of every shortcut, grouped. The Guide row in the profile menu shows ? as its key.
Changelog lists work in development: changes in testing show under In development until they are released.

Exporting

Export settings remembered: the Export dialog opens with the background, area and study pane choices of the last image export.

Account

Terms checkbox on sign-up: the sign-up dialog asks you to confirm you are 16 or older and to accept the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. Sign up with Google and Create account wait until it is ticked.
Terms acceptance before the canvas: an account without an accepted copy of the current Terms, such as one made with Sign in with Google, is asked once in a dialog before the canvas opens, with Sign out as the alternative.
Sign in opens the canvas: signing in with a password or passkey on the front page or any other public page takes you straight to the canvas. Signing in from a plan card on Pricing keeps you on the card to choose the plan.
Educator code notice on sign-up: with an educator's code typed in the Affiliate code field, or after following an educator's link, the sign-up dialog says that educator will see your name and email address.
ID note in Menu, Account: a line under your ID says to share it only with your educator, who will then see your name and email address.
Subscription section in Menu, Account folds and unfolds from its title bar, like Advanced; Download your data and Delete account are titled groups inside Advanced. The category headings in the Projects menu use the same bar.
Section names shown once in Menu and the Education Hub: each section opens on its description; its name is in the title bar, or the selected tab beside it.
Terms and Privacy Policy updated: the Terms name Google or an email address and password as the ways to create an account; the Privacy Policy lists the anti-bot check on the sign-in, sign-up and password reset forms and the record kept when you accept the Terms.
Usage statistics: while you are signed in, CandleDraw records which features you use, never what you draw, and keeps it for 6 months. The Usage statistics switch in Menu, Settings turns it off; the Privacy Policy explains it.

Plans

Layer limit raised to 100 on Pro (from 20) and Educator (from 50).
Billing period slider on the plan cards (pricing page, front page, sign-up and Menu, Subscription) and in the upgrade dialog: one accent block slides between Monthly and Annual.
Price note under the plan cards (pricing page, front page, sign-up), in Menu, Subscription and in the upgrade dialog: prices include VAT, and paid plans renew automatically until canceled.
Free plan answer on the Pricing page: a short paragraph under the heading says what the Free plan includes and what Pro and Educator add. The same question is in the FAQ on the Pricing page and on /faq.

Installing the app

Installable app: the install button in the Edge or Chrome address bar adds CandleDraw as an app with its own window and a rounded icon, opening on the canvas; on an iPhone or iPad, Add to Home Screen. On a computer, the app's top bar sits in the window's title bar. Without a connection it shows a page that says so rather than opening.
Plan check in the installed app every 30 minutes and when the connection returns. After 4 hours without one, a Reconnect to keep working screen covers the app until a check succeeds; the drawing is kept.

Fixes

Only the left button draws: with a drawing tool or the eraser armed, a right or middle click on the canvas no longer draws; a touch still does.
Locked drawings no longer follow the pointer: dragging one pans the canvas, as dragging empty canvas does. They can still be selected.
Hiding a selected drawing with the eye in Layers takes it out of the selection, so Delete and the arrow keys no longer act on it.
Right click on an open menu or a dialog no longer opens the browser's own menu. Text fields keep it, for cut, paste and spelling.
Emoji picker in the Text and Callout editors: Pin and Invalidated, in the picker's left column, can be clicked again.
Pinching while dragging a candle leaves the candle where it was and adds no undo step, as it already did for drawings.
Generate new in the Candle Player plays again: Play was disabled in that mode, and a finished run now stays on the canvas.
Dragging several selected drawings is one undo step: undo puts the whole selection back, the drawing you held included.
Hide all and Lock all in Layers turn to Show all and Unlock all once every drawing is hidden or locked, also with a candle layer on the board; candle layers stay out of both, as before.
Period on studies that take none: OBV, A/D, the Chaikin Oscillator and the Awesome and Accelerator oscillators no longer show a Period setting, which changed nothing.
Force Index and Chaikin Oscillator are in the volume study Reading choice, so they show as selected and can be picked again.
Clicking a Moving Average or VWMA line on the chart selects the study and opens its settings in Properties, as it does for the other studies.
Volume panes say when volume is simulated instead of always reading "imported volume", for Volume and the volume readings alike.
Timeframe strip switch in Chart settings is unticked and grayed out on Free, where the strip is not available, instead of showing as on.
Arrow keys move 1 px, 10 px with Shift, everywhere: while drawing or editing points, and when moving a dialog or an Education Hub panel by its grip, the same as moving a selection.
Drawing hints for channels, pitchforks and forecasts say to click for the last point, as the other multi-point tools do.
Reveal boundary help text in assignment authoring: the hidden candles show with the answer key, as set in Solution reveal, and then replay in the Candle Player.
ADX / DMI pane fits its lines from 0 up, with the 25 guide always in view, instead of a fixed 0 to 100 scale that left them flat at the bottom.
Email addresses and names on iPhone and iPad show as plain text, no longer underlined as links Safari added by itself.
Canvas watermark on phones and tablets shrinks to fit the screen instead of breaking a word across lines; computers and exported images keep the set size.

Chart customization

Custom candle color preset. Save colors as preset stores the current bullish, bearish and border colors in the eighth preset slot, synced to the account. It replaces the stock preset in that slot.
Persistent mode for tools and studies (Pro and Educator). Each drawing and study type reuses its last settings on new boards. Suspended in an assignment that enforces the educator's style.

Risk/Reward tool

Show R:R switch in the tool's properties hides the ratio pill. New boxes use the last setting.
Separate Reward and Risk colors and a Show border switch. New boxes use the last settings.

Trade markers

Trade markers (Pro and Educator): buy and sell arrows, flags and numbered pins, under Text in the toolbar. A marker attaches to a candle's high or low and moves with it; pins are numbered automatically.

Text and callouts

Currency row in the emoji menu: dollar, euro, pound, yen, bitcoin and rupee signs, plus money and exchange symbols.

Drawing candles

Drag-drawn wicks. Dragging past the close sets the wick from the overshoot. Wicks are no longer random.
Click-drawn candles are a fixed-height body with no wicks.
One-time hint after three click-drawn candles: dragging sets the body and pulls out the wicks.
Shadow candle tool (X) (Pro and Educator), under Draw candle. Draws candles into the selected layer as a projection. Studies, replay and CSV export exclude them.
Shadow candle settings: opacity, body and border/wick colors, a solid, dashed, dotted or no outline, body fill, and wicks. A change applies to every shadow candle in the layer, and to the next shadow candle in any layer.
Shadow candles sub-layer under the candle layer in Layers, with its own visibility, lock, name and delete.
Shadow candles across timeframes. After the last real candle they continue the series at the selected timeframe, in shadow style, with wicks.
Shadow candles across chart types: bars, line, Heikin-Ashi, renko and range bars continue through them in the shadow colors and opacity.
Shadow candles in split view: the comparison pane shows them at its own timeframe, in the shadow style.
Formation move grip: a selected candle outlines its candle layer with a grip that moves the whole layer, and the drawings inside the outline, in one undo step. The price scale stays, so a vertical move changes the prices.

Shapes

Shift constraints for rectangles, ellipses and triangles. Shift while drawing keeps the shape square on screen; Shift while resizing from the corner keeps its proportions.

Selecting drawings

Select drawings tool: a dragged box selects every drawing it touches, candles excluded. The selection moves or deletes as one.
Delete in the canvas menu: while something is selected, the right-click menu has Delete as its first row. On a phone, a long press on the selection opens the same menu.

Reading the chart

Timeframe strip on by default on Pro and Educator. Off in Settings > Canvas or the right-click menu; the setting persists.
Wider Studies dialog: every study's description fits on one line.
Bollinger Bands colors: the mid line and the band fill each have a color of their own.
Timeframe strip note on hover: the note shows when the pointer or keyboard focus is on the strip, replacing the info button. Estimated lower-timeframe candles still mark the strip with a warning triangle.
No split view button on phones: the timeframe strip leaves it out, as the screen has no room for two panes.
Study panes below the chart: RSI, MACD and the other pane studies sit under the bottom ruler, newest at the top, and scroll past half the chart area. Split view's comparison pane shows them at its own timeframe.

Candle Player

Candle Player in the profile menu, tagged Beta, on desktop and phones, replacing the desktop top bar button.

Properties panel

Heading levels: Properties and Layers on a darker bar, sections such as Candle settings on a lighter bar, and named groups inside them: Chart, Candle shape and Candle colors for candles; Style, the tool's own groups and Visibility for every drawing.
Properties title bar stays in place when the panel scrolls; the scrollbar starts below it.
Smaller text in fields and drop-downs, the same size as the labels.
Study properties in groups: Data, Inputs and Style, with the same buttons and square color fields as Candle settings.
Layer rows: less space between the icons, more room for the name.
Candle layer lock in Layers: a locked layer's candles cannot be moved, resized or deleted, and no new candles are drawn into it. Colors still change.
Reset to default beside each slider and number field in Properties, for drawings, studies and candles. It is dimmed while the value is the default.

Settings

Heading levels in Settings and the Education Hub: section titles on a light bar, and groups inside a section named with a thin rule.
No passkeys for accounts with Google connected: Authentication leaves out the passkey part when a Google sign-in is connected.
Menu on phones opens on the chosen section, with a Back arrow to the list of sections and Sign out. Menu's section buttons no longer fill the top of every section.
Education Hub on phones: opens on a section, titled by it, with a Back arrow to the list of sections.
Tools section in Menu: the toolbar, magnet snapping and the quick tool menu, moved from Settings. Right-clicking the tool rail opens it.
Import section in Menu: Import OHLC data, moved from the Canvas section.
Reset defaults in Settings covers the Settings, Tools and Canvas sections and lists what it resets; the Canvas section's own reset is gone.
How to use in the profile menu is tagged Beta.
24-hour times wherever a time is shown.

Tool rail

Folded tool rail on phones: the rail shows Select, the current tool when it is another one, and a chevron. The chevron opens every tool in a scrolling list, and a touch outside it folds it again.

Top bar

Theme switch on the phone top bar, as on desktop. The phone's … menu is removed.
Theme follows the device light or dark mode, including its automatic switching. The theme button in the top bar overrides it until the device next changes; Light or Dark chosen in Settings stays fixed.

Exporting

2 px margin on solid-background PNG exports, in the background color, on every edge.
Date and time prefix on PNG file names (YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM_), so exports do not overwrite each other.
Include study panes in the Export dialog, shown when the chart has study panes and on by default: the PNG adds them under the chart.

Saved projects

Project lock, from a lock button on each project row in the Projects menu. A locked project cannot be saved over or deleted, and its Save and Delete buttons are hidden until it is unlocked. It still opens on the canvas.
Wider projects menu for longer project names.

Fixes

Risk/Reward Long and Short buttons in Properties sized to match the panel's other options.
Scroll position on navigation: a page opened from a link starts at the top; Back and Forward restore the previous position.
Candle wick handle on a selected candle stays reachable when the wick is fully retracted, instead of hiding under the body handle.
Candle sharpness: candles in every layer render on the pixel grid, on screen and in PNG exports. Whole-chart PNG exports are no longer resampled.
Range bars each span exactly one range and close at their high or low; the next bar opens at that close. A large candle produces several bars.
Timeframe view with Heikin-Ashi, renko or range bars no longer draws the timeframe's candles behind the derived bars.
Ctrl+C and Ctrl+D (Cmd on a Mac) with several drawings selected, previously active for a single selection only.
Clearing a numeric field in the properties panel keeps the previous value instead of 0 (Fibonacci text size, line thickness, level values). Values past a field's limit are clamped to it.
Study method buttons in Properties show the method in use when none was chosen: Basis method SMA for Bollinger Bands and Envelopes, Divergence Off for the oscillators.
Study source layer names match the Layers list, "Candles 2" or the layer's own name, and follow a rename.
Checklist checkboxes use the account's accent color.
Start-point preview fades candles evenly, wicks included.
Comparison pane line weight stays constant at a different timeframe.
Study pane lines keep their weight at every horizontal zoom.
Crosshair price readout near the bottom of the chart stays above the ruler.
Checkout from the Pro offer: the upgrade dialog stays open showing "Opening checkout…" until the payment page loads, and the checkout service is started when a plan dialog opens, removing its start-up delay.
Callout box while typing fits its widest line instead of keeping empty space at the right, and the text keeps its lines when editing ends.
Authentication no longer shows the password form for a moment on accounts that sign in with Google.
Profile button avatar centered in its ring; it was 2 px larger than the space inside it. On phones the button is 36 px and scales down to 28 px on narrow screens.

Signing in

Larger sign-in dialog. The password reset confirmation is the same for every address: if an account exists, a link has been sent.
Account creation flow: after sign-up the form is replaced by the "check your email" message. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk.
Affiliate code field at sign-up, for students given a code instead of a link. The student joins the class when the confirmation link is opened.

Choosing a plan

Pro purchasable; Educator in beta. The Educator card shows its beta status instead of a checkout. Existing Educator accounts keep every feature.
Shared plan cards in the plan chooser and the account page, with the monthly/annual switch, matching the pricing page. Upgrades show the price.
Pro offer on Free accounts, shown about once a month. Any way of closing it counts as a dismissal.

Setting up a chart

Plan-aware menus: the right-click menu lists only the plan's items, and the Tools menu grays out the rest. Magnet snapping moved under Editing.
Default rail for Pro and Educator adds horizontal line, highlighter and callout, unless the rail was customized.
Reset on canvas color pickers. The Generate chart candle count field can be cleared and retyped.
OHLC import help: where to get data, and that an import keeps real prices in order and real volume where present.

Reading the chart

Split view (Pro and Educator): one chart at two timeframes side by side, from Compare in the timeframe strip. Panes scroll together and show drawings.

Drawing and annotating

Sticky tools. Candle and drawing tools stay active after each shape, and Escape releases the tool; holding Ctrl or Cmd is no longer needed. Text, callouts and pasted bars patterns return to Select.
Brush stroke joining only with the magnet on.
Theme-following default ink: default-colored drawings, existing ones included, follow the canvas theme. Picked colors are unchanged.
Pattern tool completion: ABCD, XABCD, the Elliott counts, head and shoulders, triangle, three drives and projection complete by mouse and keyboard instead of canceling mid-placement.
Checklist annotation (Pro and Educator): a titled card of check-off items with sub-steps, with its own size and color.

Replaying a chart

Player opens ready to play at the first candle. Source and candle count are under Settings on the player bar.
Start point selection from the player bar: click or drag on the chart, nudge, then Confirm, Start at the beginning, or Cancel.
Start line hidden after confirmation; the bar names the starting candle.
Replay video recording (Pro and Educator), including background, studies and drawings.

Exporting

Watermark on exports restored, centered and spanning most of the image width, on downloads and clipboard copies. It had been drawn outside the top edge on most charts.

The top bar

Projects menu beside the app name, as a grid icon, with categories collapsed under counted headings. How to use moved to the profile menu, below Support.

The public pages

Prerendered public pages: text is in the initial HTML, for slow connections and search engines. Pages are about a third smaller, since the drawing engine loads only on pages with a chart.
Unknown addresses show the not-found page immediately instead of a blank page.
Five guides, linked from the footer, from what a candlestick chart is to a blank chart template. The first three are for beginners.
FAQ page (/faq): what CandleDraw is, what is free, supported markets, and what canceling keeps.
Native page scrolling on mobile, so the address bar can collapse and a revisited page keeps its position.
Dark mode on all public pages, matching the canvas. Tour recordings re-recorded in dark.
Logo: a candle drawn as a pencil, beside the name and in the tab and home-screen icons. Tab titles lead with the page name.
Footer statement on every page: a drawing and teaching tool, illustrations only, not advice. Legal pages use a more readable typeface.
Front page comparison of a journal screenshot and a CandleDraw export. Shared links show an hourly EUR/USD chart.
Refund terms: full refund within 14 days. A renewed annual plan can be ended within a month, with the unused part refunded.
Terms: product definition: a drawing tool with no market feed, orders or signals, sold as software rather than education, and not affiliated with any broker, exchange or trading service.
Terms additions: reporting infringing or unlawful content, consumer claims heard only in the consumer's own country, and saved projects not openable on Free after a paid plan ends.

Teaching

Assignment loading for cohort students restored. Students added to a cohort saw "Assignments could not be loaded".
Canvas assignment authoring: draw the chart, mark the work the student must produce, then name it and set the reveal. The educator's own chart is restored afterwards.
Assignment tool grants: tools used by the marked work are available to the student inside the assignment, on any plan and outside their limits.
Solution reveal policy: after submission, after review, or never. Reveal on submission makes the submission final.
Review ink: drawings on a submission are saved to it and reopen editable. Saving with nothing drawn clears them.
Deleting unassigned assignments, with a confirmation showing the submission count. Lists show chart thumbnails.
Assignment branding toggles, including candle style and canvas look, each switching between App default and custom.
Affiliate program agreement, required before joining. More hub sections are collapsible.
Assignment and submission timeframe kept, instead of defaulting to hourly for students and review.

Studies

About forty new studies, among them Ichimoku, SuperTrend, Keltner Channels and Pivot Points. Searchable study panel; clicking a study's line selects it.
Study combinations: stacked moving averages without overlap, any study's price source, study-on-study inputs, and shared panes for compatible studies with crosshair values.
Higher-timeframe candles, RSI and MACD divergence, nine candle patterns and pivot zones added to Studies. Anchored VWAP moved there.

Footprint

Whole-layer footprint in one click, as Bid × Ask, Delta or Total, with imbalances marked at a set threshold. Values are estimates, not real order flow.

Reading the chart

Logarithmic and percentage price scales, and Heikin-Ashi, renko and range bars as chart types alongside Candles, Bars and Line. The timeframe strip is disabled under renko and range bars.
Timeframe strip setting, off by default, since a hand-drawn chart has one timeframe.

On the canvas

New drawing tools: harmonic patterns, head and shoulders, triangles, three drives, trend angle, regression channel, projection, bars pattern and Elliott waves.
Pitchfork variants, Fibonacci extensions and price-aware measurement. The Fibonacci projects a next leg from a third anchor; Invert levels reverses the reading.
Tool toggle: tapping the active tool releases it. The right-click menu toggles grid, rulers, timeframe strip, crosshair and magnet.
Multiple selection by box or Shift-click: move, style, copy, delete, align or distribute as one undoable action. Lock or hide drawings singly or together, and limit any drawing to specific timeframes.
Shape captions. Copy, paste and duplicate keep complete candle series and multi-band tools.

Generating a chart, and converting a drawing

Generate chart options: trend, volatility and up to 1,000 candles. The canvas is cleared only after confirmation; Undo restores the previous chart.
Convert to Candles produces more natural pullbacks and wicks, has a variation control, and is offered only for chart-like strokes.

The Education Hub

Workflow navigation: Welcome, Affiliate program, Cohorts, Build, Link and Review, with a visual map. Assignments group into curriculum sections, and sections are released to cohorts from one view.
Cohort-wide review of one assignment, outstanding work first. Assignments and sections can be duplicated without changing the original.
Cohort management: released-section counts, unassigned students and referral dates, with controls for placing or unlinking students.
Solution candles withheld from the student's device until submission. Assignment branding can be customized before release; the student's own settings return when the assignment closes.

Saving, accounts and plans

Toolbar and quick-menu preferences synced across devices.
Separate, protected sign-up and sign-in flows. Passwords, passkeys and connected sign-ins are managed under Authentication in Profile.
Plan selection before drawing for new accounts, with Free always available and no expiry.
Per-account drawings on shared browsers: sign-out finishes pending saves, clears the local copy and opens a fresh canvas.
Account data download and Free account deletion under Advanced in Profile. Paid accounts cancel first.
Plan limits: Pro 1,440 candles, 20 layers and 100 projects; Educator 2,880, 50 and 300. A canvas over its plan's limit opens read-only, viewable and exportable, instead of losing work.
No CandleDraw watermark on paid plans, including when a custom logo is unavailable. The logo is kept and returns with the plan.

Settings

System, Light and Dark themes, System following the device. The grid is on by default and can be restyled or turned off in Canvas settings. Interface and Canvas settings reset separately from the drawing.
Export defaults: full chart, transparent, 1×; opaque on plans without transparent export.

The public site

Public page redesign: a front page stating who CandleDraw is for, a tour of the app opening with a brush-to-candles demonstration, and pricing with short plan profiles and one sticky comparison table.
Shared theme preference between public pages and the canvas. The release history is at /changelog without an account.

Fixed

Single-row top bar on phones, with export and account only and the rest in a menu. More reliable touch input; mobile layouts no longer clip menus, toolbars, tabs, study names or announcements.
Canvas editing at any zoom and selection: erasing, shape resizing, handle size, stuck cursors, leftover fills and stray candle lines.
Line opacity separate from fill, 1px outlines on new rectangles, Fit to screen framing the whole drawing without compressing candles, and very large charts exporting at reduced resolution instead of an empty file.

Multi-timeframe view of any candle group, M1 through W1. Aggregation to a higher rung is exact; a rung below the drawn one is estimated and labeled.

Candle Player

Candle-by-candle replay, from a start point set by dragging a guide, with separate setup and transport panels. Speeds up to 16x.
Forming candle built from the timeframe below, so a lower timeframe mid-replay shows its candles opening one at a time.

Accounts, plans and projects

Sign-in with email and password, a magic link, or Google, and monthly or annual subscriptions with a comparison of what each plan gains or loses.
Named projects for Pro and Educator, synced to the cloud; the newer copy wins when edited on two devices.
Referral credit after the referrer's link expires. A scheduled cancellation can no longer be cleared by accident.

Teaching

Education Hub: curriculum sections released in sequence, cohorts with join links, and a homework hub where students open, work on and submit assignments.
Reveal boundary: educators hide part of a chart until submission, and can lend their branding (watermark, app title, subtitle, accent color) to assignment work, each opted in separately.
Student codes identify students instead of raw account ids.

Drawing, studies and export

New studies: VWMA, Donchian Channels, ATR, Volume Profile, Anchored VWAP and Footprint, from a Studies flyout. Volume studies estimate from candles on charts without volume data, always labeled simulated.
Multi-anchor drawing tools, pattern analysis and a quick-tool radial menu. Horizontal and vertical lines place a level across the chart instead of a segment.
OHLC import from CSV; export as CSV, JSON or an image, whole chart or a cropped region.

Canvas and interface

Canvas background per theme, grid color and visibility, and optional edge rulers.
Canvas right-click menu with settings instead of the browser's menu, and a customizable tool rail.
